Early on in her Christian walk, the Holy Spirit impressed the truth of Ephesians 4:12 upon the heart of Allison Woods. She realized that equipping the saints and building up the body of Christ was her deepest desire. For over 23 years, she has sought to fulfill that call through teaching the Word of God in every church that she has attended.

Allison accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 13. However, it wasn’t until she began attending a women’s Bible study in 1982 that she began living and growing in Christ. Her desire for the Lord was stirred, and she became an avid student of the scriptures.

Throughout her adult life, the desire to serve the Body of Christ and to strengthen it through teaching and prayer has remained constant in Allison’s life.

The Lord has given her the gift of teaching, a heart for prayer and a burning desire to make a greater impact on the Body of Christ. In October of 2001, Allison formed Devoted Life Ministries, a teaching ministry dedicated to helping Christians deepen their relationship with the Lord. Allison’s vast knowledge of the scriptures is matched by her passion for helping people develop a strong and mature relationship with the Him. In addition to speaking and teaching, Allison’s newspaper column “A Devoted Life,” website and Bible studies encourage believers to reach out to Christ with their whole beings.

Allison grew up in New Jersey. She married her husband Jon in 1980 and they were stationed in several parts of the country during his Air Force career before settling in Wichita, KS, where Jon continues to serve. They have three sons: Michael, Ted and Jim.
